Bug Bites: Love is Just a Death Away
What is the first thing to come to mind when someone mentions parasites? How about zombies or walking corpses?
Unless you have a certain eccentric taste, romance shouldn't be very high on the associations list whenever parasitism or living corpses are concerned and yet Bára Anna Stejskalová manages to defy expectations by exposing us to what I personally believe is one of the best short films I've seen in a very long time.
This little 2021 cinematic gem about love and decay is truly one of a kind, a story of love wrapped in decaying flesh and literal human garbage.
I won't spoil the ending for those willing to experience this masterpiece of storytelling and visual mastery but I assure you... it'll give your heart one helluva fluttering!
